is this cute? I think it's cute
snapped this as I drove by (i seem to do that a lot) because my initial inclination was cute.
I wonder if she wears the jacket when she's inside because I think that's what makes the outfit. The orange dress would be too bright on its own but it's held in check by the white jacket, which works well with the white shoes (shoes, you'll notice, not flip-flops) as well as the white bead necklace that you can't see very well.

5points drive-by
Cute look. I like it when someone's look catches my eye and it turns out I know them. I snapped this from my car at a stopsign, which is why it's not terribly focused.
Today was a great day to break out the khaki dress, which someone else might have worn with flip-flops, thereby ruining the charm of it, so I'm glad Heather went for her cowboy boots. There's something vaguely sexy archeologist about it. The bright spring colors she chose for her bag, belt, and sunglasses are pleasantly whimsical without being aggressively contrasting or otherwise eye-catching. Everything blends easily into a casual, personality-consistent look.

Classic look in the Vista
I hesitated because the general flavor of this blog vibrates with youth, but I don't have a huge amount of time to hunt and with this unduly warm weather I saw more people in t-shirts over the weekend than not. So when I saw this man sitting at Starbucks I turned the car around and almost missed him at the light. This is the best shot I could get.
There was a very classic feel to his look, particularly as he sat at a coffee table. Dark slacks, crisp white shirt - opened a button at the collar- and a glen plaid blazer. Everything fit well: appropriate shoulders, good sleeve length. enough throat showing at the collar to be casual without being creepy. good break in the slacks. With this outfit I find myself forgiving the tassels on the shoes, as the end result all looks solid and confidently worn. Here is a man who looks good and still looks comfortable in his clothes.
and looking good isn't always about looking different or wild or clever. Sometimes it's just about knowing what fits your body and attitude. And looking timeless doesn't hurt, either.

guy at publix
So here's my first post. It would've been my second but the brunette in the cinched, thigh-length black double-breast overcoat with the black and white plaid scarf wouldn't get off her phone and I was hesitant enough without interrupting her.
I like how his clothes fit, in that they do. One doesn't see a lot of that, especially in men. His colors are tame and flow well with each other and his necklace, which I might otherwise object to, is chromatically consistent and works with the jeans as casual bookends to the formality of the jacket. and there's a bit of cuff showing, on the right side, at least.
so there. first post.
